Noblis is seeking a Software Development Engineer with a strong Linux patching background and programming experience with Bash, Java, C and PHP, and who is a passionate, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. Will provide software engineering services for the Navy's ADNS Program of Record.
This is an on-site position in Charleston, SC.
Job Duties Include:
Perform software development and coding with Bash, Java, C, and PHP on Linux platforms
Develop Bash scripts on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Develop IA/Security patches for RHEL including vendor packages and STIG lockdowns
Code within compliance of current DOD Information Assurance policies and instructions
STR Development, coordinate bug fixes for fielded software
Generate engineering change requests (ECR) and track software bugs that impact ADNS fielded or sponsored systems/software
Assist with or conduct, review and analyze bug reports from stakeholders, and identify and track bugs using SSA databases and tools
Work with PMW 160's engineering functional areas to track and plan patches to resolved bugs associated with PMW160 fielded systems/software baselines, and prepare reports that document the status of each
Analysis of any bug reports, test plan discrepancies or regressions to due software updates for said baselines from Fleet IT, Tier 3 ISEA Reports, or ADNS system integration testing reported to ADNS SSA
Develop set of IT tools and processes to support development of STR patches
Maintain bug reports and resolution list for patches
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar with a total of 8+ years’ experience working with a wide range of IT products
• 5+ years of C software development experience
• 3+ years’ experience with Linux (Red Hat preferred)
• Possession of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Proficiency in Bash, Java, C, and PHP programming language
• Linux networking expertise
• Experience in an Agile environment is a plus
• Knowledge in coding in compliance with current DOD Information Assurance policies
• Strong customer relations, documentation, and oral communication skills
• Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent
• US Citizenship

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
