Position Summary:
The Network Administrator will install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software-related problems. The Junior Network Administrator will work closely with other network professionals and IT personnel to update cyber security measures, install hardware or software devices, and troubleshoot problems. This position will ensure the organizational network aligns with mission goals and objectives.
Specifically, this position will:
- Installing, configuring, and supporting local area network (LAN) and metropolitan area network (MAN)
- Monitoring network performance and availability using network management tools (currently SolarWinds and InfoBlox), responding to alerts and resolving issues promptly
- Providing network support to users, addressing connectivity issues and ensuring reliable network access through ticketing services such as ServiceNow and CIPS
- Providing remote assistance to include network configuration, troubleshooting, sub-netting, and circuit validation
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, topologies, and processes
- Configuring VLANs, firewalls, switches, routers, and other networking devices
- Performing regular preventive maintenance on network devices
- Managing inventory of network hardware and software, ensuring proper tracking and maintenance
- Supporting Cisco Unified Communications suite of technologies to include VoIPs and VTCs
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members
- Receive, understand, and apply STIG requirements to Enterprise network devices
- Contribute to system backups and recovery
Requirements:
- High School diploma or technical trade school in a computer-related discipline with a concentration in networking
- Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility needed on day 1
- CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ or industry equivalents
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a must, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of start
- Possess knowledge of networking services and standard networking protocols
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience (bachelorβs degree may be used towards experience)
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Attention to detail, good communication skills, sound project management skills
Preferred:
- Military and/or government Information Technology experience is a plus
- At least three (3) years of government contracting, or equivalent experience is a plus
- ITIL 4 certification is a plus

Β Salary/Rate Range $77,500 - $81,500
