SUMMARY


Instruct, maintain course curricula and reports pertaining to established training classes.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


·         Teach courses weekly or as assigned.


·         Attain proficiency and teach core programming path courses for the current controller and the previous generation controller (current-1).


:  Operator's, Basic w/ Arc Welding, Basic w/ Material Handling for the current production controller and previous generation controller (current-1).


NOTE:  Instructor proficiency is determined by comprehensive subjects testing and manager/supervisor/peer evaluation.  Proficiency is considered to be obtained when the Qual Card for that subject has been completed and signed off by the evaluator and the department manager. 


·         Learn and teach controller software options for the courses included in his/her designated paths.


·         Assist in the maintenance of records pertaining to student/ instructor testing, student enrollment, and IACET certification procedures, plus any other documentation requirements that may be reasonably required.


·         Participate as assigned by the manager/supervisor on teams reviewing documentation and providing recommended revisions and modifications. 


·         Provide technical support for programming and maintenance issues as necessary for internal and external customers.


·         Promote a positive and professional corporate image.


·         Travel to customer sites and/or Yaskawa Motoman remote facilities for periods of approximately one week for training presentations as required.  May include Sunday through Saturday travel.


·         Promote teamwork and foster exemplary work environment.  Interface with co-workers in a manner that enhances employee satisfaction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have previous training/teaching experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Able to read and interpret technical manuals and related training documents.  Must have technical writing skills as applicable to the robotics and automated systems technologies.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Must possess some experience in a formal programming language or robot-specific language.
