General Summary of Job Duties
- The Database Developer provides management of the management information systems used throughout the property and assists the VP or Director in smooth operations, future expansion potential, reliability, and accessibly of computer system resources.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides technical direction to meet business needs.
- Manages software upgrades of the enterprise data warehouse (EDW – Teradata/SQL) and business intelligence (BI)
- Determines technical system architectural designs for EDW and BI.
- Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database environment.
- Modifying the database structure, as necessary.
- Enrolling users and maintaining system security.
- Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
- Interface with Analytics department, help with business intelligence issues, ETL management and configuration.
- Interface with Marketing and website/email data related issues.
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of various databases.
- Planning for backup and recovery of database structure and content
- Maintaining archived data and backups.
- Backing up and restoring database.
- Generating various reports by querying database as per need.
- Extractions and new database setups on occasion.
- Follows Gaming Control Board regulations.
- Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton STYLE.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness. to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
- Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
