Information Systems Programmer/Analyst

An Information Systems Programmer/Analyst is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, installing, and resolving first and second-level computer and peripheral issues. This involves answering questions and troubleshooting hardware and software problems using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting procedures.  

All Information Systems Programmer/Analyst positions are located in Tallahassee, Florida

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and complete all technical tasks related to the setup, configuration, deployment, and implementation of workstation hardware, peripheral equipment, and software, as well as existing workstations as needed.
• Configure and support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, VOIP phones, and other IT-related equipment.
• Coordinate and resolve complex technical data and transformation issues, providing answers to “how-to” technical and application configuration questions.
• Assist with onboarding new users, including assigning users and computers to the appropriate groups in Active Directory.
• Promptly and effectively monitor and respond to help desk requests. Open and manage service requests, ensuring complete and timely resolution by following up with customers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert or backup in one or more areas supported by the section.
• Research technological advances in the industry that could benefit the Auditor General environment.
• Report project status to the supervisor in both verbal and written forms.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or certain other information technology-based fields of study.

Relevant information technology experience and training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the four years of college education.

The minimum salary for Information System Programmer/Analyst is $40,956.  Individuals with additional relevant experience beyond the minimum qualifications may be hired above the minimum salary.
