The Opportunity:

7News Digital is looking for talented Mid-Level Full Stack Developers to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Developer with expertise in both frontend and backend software/ application development to contribute to the growth of 7news.com.au and our 7news app.

Based in Sydney and reporting to the Editor for 7News Digital, your responsibilities will include:

• Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications.
• Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver on project goals.
• Write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation.
• Regularly participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.

About you:

You are a skilled problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues independently. You excel in communication, effectively explaining technical concepts to both team members and non-technical stakeholders. With experience in cross-functional collaboration, you work seamlessly with designers, product managers, and other team members to deliver innovative solutions.

You will have:

• 2-4 years’ experience in software development
• Expertise in React.js, React Native, and state management.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in modern CSS (CSS Modules, Styled-Components).
• Proficiency in Node.js and backend frameworks (Express.js).
• Experience with frontend build tools (Webpack).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and serverless technologies.
• Experience with SQL databases and schema optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in Git and platforms (GitHub).
