As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing our software solutions and applications. Every day, you will create scalable solutions using modern Javascript libraries (React, Next.js) and .NET Core technologies that integrate with cloud-based applications, user interfaces, and RESTful APIs. 

To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering high quality applications, help to ensure deadlines are met, mentor junior developers, support multiple teams to deliver on Sprint goals. 

Companion Protect’s Front-End team exhibits a can-do attitude which we apply in our Sprint goals with internal and external partners to deliver on-time. 

What you’ll do here:  

  • Remain knowledgeable on web development and application trends, technologies, design patterns, and SOLID principles. 

  • Define front-end architecture and front-facing web design for optimum scalability, usability as well as visual appeal. 

  • Leveraging front-end technologies to develop web sites for optimum scalability, usability as well as visual appeal. 

  • Define back-end programming and web design integration for optimum scalability and usability. 

  • Develop software that is understandable, flexible, and maintainable. 

  • Assess current technology and work with staff to define ways to improve. 

  • Expertise in source code management, feature branching and GIT repositories. 

  • Ensure cross-platform optimization with a mobile responsive design. 

  • Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, Unit testing, Integration testing and reliability are being considered when developing solutions. 

  • Collaborate with technology team to establish and document development and compliance standards, system components and application usage. 

What you’ll bring to the team:  

  • 3+ years’ experience in a .Net Front End Developer role or similar. 

  • Experience with back-end languages such as C#, .NET Core, Web API, REST, and JSON. 

  • Experience with client-side technologies such as ReactJS, Next.JS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, JSON, and CSS. 

  • Commitment: Dedication to the work we do and the customers we serve. 

  • Teamwork: Strong desire for team success. 

  • Resourcefulness: Creative, innovative, and effective problem-solver. 

  • Experience in unit/integration testing with Jest, Cypress or similar tools. 

  • Bonus points: 

  • AZURE Cloud experience including APIM, App Services, Application Insights and Function Apps. 

  • Azure DevOps experience creating pipeline and using DevOps release cycles. 

  • Agile experience 

Where you’ll work: This is a hybrid opportunity, Tuesday through Thursday in the office.
