Key Role:
Protect data assets from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Update, implement, and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, rules, and tools based on data classification and protection requirements. Research and stay updated on the latest DLP trends, technologies, and best practices. Recommend and implement DLP improvements and enhancements to increase data security and efficiency. Apply appropriate data protection measures, such as encryption, masking, or redaction to prevent data loss or leakage. Review and audit data classification and protection activities and results. Ensure compliance with data protection laws, regulations, and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and PCI DSS. Document and maintain DLP policies, procedures, and records. Generate and deliver DLP reports and metrics to management and stakeholders. Install, configure, and maintain DLP tools and systems. Troubleshoot and resolve DLP systems, including Microsoft 365, Endpoint, and Cloud issues and errors. Conduct regular data risk assessments and audits to identify and evaluate data loss or leakage threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement data risk mitigation plans and controls. Collaborate to identify and mitigate data risks and improve data security. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in DLP administration or data security
Experience with classifying and protecting data according to sensitivity levels
Experience with performing data risk assessments and audits
Experience managing and coordinating with DLP analysts, vendors, service providers and leadership
Knowledge of the monitoring and analysis of DLP alerts and events using DLP tools and dashboards
Knowledge of investigation and resolution of DLP incidents and breaches and escalation procedures
Knowledge of compliance and reporting of DLP activities and results
Ability to implement, and manage DLP policies and procedures
Ability to collab and communicate, particularly with a variety of teams and stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Additional Qualifications
Experience with data protection laws, regulations, and standards
Experience with typical DLP tools
Experience in basic scripting and PowerShell
Knowledge of data protection concepts, such as access control, asymmetric and symmetric encryption, and digital rights management
Knowledge of common data storage platforms, such as network file shares, collaboration applications, databases, and data lakes
Data Loss Prevention or Data Security Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
