Job Title: Ground Test Requirements Engineer

Labor Location: Huntsville, AL 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide MDA System Engineering Test Requirements (EEF) with technical support to the Requirements Development SME (RDSME) and Ground Test Requirements Lead (GT-RL).  Support to the customer will include development of new and more efficient EEF processes to execute the faster operations tempo under the Ground Test (GT) CONOPS; development of test requirements, test concepts, test objectives, and requirements allocation; aiding execution at a fast HWIL tempo with complete product definitions, integrated timelines and authority/responsibilities; assisting Phased Implementation Plan (PIP) increment coordination with System Assessment and other Stakeholders to execute Test Requirements and Objectives Development of data requirements; developing and practicing implementation of GT CONOPS governance processes to ensure timelines and process/product quality are met.  Other activities will include development of executive level briefings; propose and document advanced techniques for improving  implementation and execution of support to GT sprint events; coordination and participation in technical meetings; generation of ground test products as defined in the GT CONOPS; interfacing and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and verify correct capture of test requirements for inclusion in MDA test documentation, including Test Objectives Memoranda and associated Test Objectives; identifying, tracking and assisting in resolution of Action Items and Watch Items resulting from the test requirement coordination process; identifying needs of internal and external customers and address their concerns.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong interpersonal skills.  Capability to use the Microsoft Office package to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project.  Ability to work independently. Minimum of 7 yrs experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) in test requirements development/management.

Willingness to learn new processes and procedures and discipline to follow established procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS in Engineering/Analytical field. MA/MS desired.


• Experience supporting Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test planning and/or requirements highly desired.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Secret Clearance required
