DescriptionThe Director of Oncology Services exercises management responsibility over the business and operational activities of the Service Line. They provide support in building the Oncology Service Line including recruitment, contracting, budgeting and organizational planning.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of finance concepts such as operating and capital budgeting, statistics, financial forecasting and modeling.
- Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal and personnel management.
- Demonstrates knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirement related to the functional area.

Demonstrates ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to non-finance users to understand the appropriate use and limits of the information provided.
- Demonstrates ability to make effective oral presentations and prepare concise written reports to a variety of audiences.

- Creates an environment that fosters the development of the staff’s clinical and management skills across the Oncology Service Line.
- Establishes effective process improvement systems that span the Oncology Service Line.
- Provides leadership to Oncology Service Line physicians and department leaders in the development of effective business plans for expanding services.
- Provides leadership and oversight in for budgeting within the Oncology Service Line.
Qualifications
- Must complete orientation program
- Bachelor?s degree
- Master?s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or similar desirable
Skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience including leadership
- Previous experience in planning, development, and implementation of relevant healthcare service lines/growth strategies
