InRule Technology is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team of experts. As a leading provider of business rules management systems (BRMS) that enable enterprises to automate decision logic and change rules without code, you will be collaborating in the design, building, operation and support of our cloud services and infrastructure. You will be involved with our developers and architects to ensure the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our cloud solutions.

Responsibilities 

  • Design, implement, and manage the tools used to develop, deploy, monitor, and support our cloud infrastructure and services using Azure DevOps, YAML, PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, Octopus, TeamCity and other development lifecycle and operations tools 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources and applications using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and other solutions 
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations along with other CloudOps/DevOps team members 
  • Monitor and analyze cloud resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities 
  • Participate in administering the software development pipeline, security policies, vulnerability detection and driving the adoption of industry-standard best practices 
  • Automate and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reliability of cloud operations
  • Support the deployment and configuration of InRule products and solutions, recommending changes to the application architecture or design to improve the performance and efficiency of SaaS products 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents while collaborating with the Support, Engineering and IT teams to minimize downtime and maintain service quality, providing timely technical guidance and support to internal and external customers on cloud-related issues 

Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, or site reliability engineering (SRE) 
  • Strong practical knowledge of Azure services, such as App Services, Functions, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Storage, Key Vault, etc. 
  • Experience writing and maintaining Azure DevOps deployment pipelines using YAML, Terraform, Bicep and/or ARM templates 
  • Comfortable debugging and maintaining .NET build projects using Cake and PowerShell 
  • Able to understand existing scripts and code and implement automation using C#, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, and/or other scripting and development languages 
  • Capable of identifying and configuring KPIs in monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Sumo Logic, Seq, Zabbix, etc. 
  • Well-versed in DevOps concepts, security principles, best practices, and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Octopus, TeamCity, etc. 
  • Experience with networking, DNS, VPC, SQL database operations, and disaster recovery/failover best practices are a strong plus 
  • Development experience with creating tools and consoles for monitoring, managing, and supporting SaaS or PaaS products is a plus 
  • Experience with Windows Server, Linux operating systems (especially Ubuntu), and related applications such as Docker and Kubernetes, etc. 
  • A plus for knowledge of or experience with MongoDB, SharePoint, or Dynamics 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Software Development, IT Engineering, or related field
