Database Developer III

Konami Gaming is looking for a Database Developer III to join our team!

The Database Developer III positions demonstrates expert SQL and PL/SQL programming skills applied to department and customer objectives and requirements. The Database Developer III works with software designers, software engineers, and senior managers and quality assurance to develop new and improve existing system features and maintain current system and industry requirements and manage enhancements to the Konami Casino Management System (SYNKROS) and related systems as necessary.

What you'll be doing:

Software Development & Implementation

• Extensive experience designing and developing solutions with Golden Gate, Oracle Data Guard, Advanced Queuing, PL/SQL stored procedures, Triggers, APEX and other Oracle technologies.


• Extensive experience analyzing and designing SCHEMA Level changes to minimize downtime when upgrading the database to new versions of the SCHEMA.


• Ability document DB object changes between versions


• Ability to propose database changes to internal & customer requested feature/functionality changes and estimate the database development and test hours to develop


• Ability to containerize and automate and performance tune DB upgrade scripts research, design, and develop system software in conjunction with Senior Managers and the SYNKROS enhancement review committee

What we'll want you to have:

• Bachelors degree in computer sciences, Engineering, or a related field.


• 7+ (Senior) years of experience as an Oracle SQL PL/SQL programmer with design and architecture experience; Gaming industry experience a plus.


• Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).


• High degree of knowledge and understanding of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Real Time Systems, and Large Data Sets.


• Experience working with the demands of a 24x7 Real Time computer system.


• Software Development (Skill Set described above)
