Overview
JST is seeking a highly qualified Database Developer to join our team at the 711th Human Performance Wing, United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM). This position involves providing subject matter expertise in database development and maintenance to support the Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Operational Support Team.

Database Developer Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the AWARE data team to develop data processes that access, acquire, transform, and rationalize data from various sources into usable maintained datasets monthly.
- Identify databases required for AWARE analyses, coordinate with DHA IT to ensure connection to those databases, develop the appropriate queries and processes to access the data, and ensure the stability, validity, and quality of the data.
- Acquire knowledge/expertise in the datasets created and provide such knowledge to analysts to ensure reliable and timely analysis.
- Draft reports, prepare, and present documents and presentations pertaining to the status of the studies.
- Present results of studies or investigations through briefings, technical reports, and publication in scientific journals.
- Assist in the development of end products such as reports, white papers, and briefings.
- Provide consultation support to the AMWD regarding data products produced by AWARE.
- Interface with USAFSAM/FESO leadership and staff.
Database Developer Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of expertise.
- Advanced skills in database creation, maintenance, validation, and design.
- Advanced skills in SQL or a SQL-based programming language.
- Proficiency in SAS/EG.
- Current HIPAA training certification.
- Signed NDA in place based on potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with medical data.
- Experience working with statistics.
- Experience within a health and visual analytics-related field and working with DAF-related data.
Work Schedule
- Normal work hours are Monday to Friday, 0730-1630. Flexibility may be required to support specific tasks.
Clearance Requirements
- All contractor personnel require a minimum of a Tier 1 background check (T1)/SF85 for any position that requires access to the internet, use of automated information systems, or unescorted entry into restricted or controlled areas.
- MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
