Summary:


Responsible for monitoring secure file movement between Sutton Bank, its partners and clients. Engages with bank partners to ensure all needed files are accounted for daily as appropriate, and escalates file issues as necessary. Participates in the partner onboarding process as it relates to file transfers.




Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in a computer related discipline.


Experience: Experience with analytical, report and dashboard creation using Kibana and ElasticSearch. Experience developing ETL in Data Processing environments. Database technologies such as mySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Linux etc. Experience with relational and non-relational data base platforms. HPCC/ECL knowledge preferred. Experience/Certification in big data technologies. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.




Essential Functions:



  • Manage and track files delivery:

    • Acts as the operator and monitor for all MFT Software (GoAnywhere, IPSwitch, Axway, etc).

    • Reviews assigned file transmission requests and configures a standard file transmission solution -partners with lines of business to select transfer methods tailored to meet business requirements.

    • Reports all late files as they pass the expected delivery times.

    • Reports to the bank daily which Partners are behind schedule or missing data files.

    • Reaches out to the Partner requesting late files.

    • Reports all unknown files.



  • Responsible for setup, maintaining, integrating and troubleshooting PGP/GPG Encryption, SSH keys and other forms of cryptography such as SSL/TLS etc. for clients, Partners, users, and file transfer processes.

  • Identifies and works with Partner Operations team to ensure that all issues are reported to the Partners as they arise.

  • Works with the Payments division, Partner and the bank to ensure that all files have a landing place.

  • Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.

  • Helps create and support needed changes to file staging and loading.

  • Communicates findings and results to leadership and project Partners as required.

  • Identifies as the SME for the MFT process and the resources and tools it provides.

  • Assists in test environment data requirements setup and maintenance, testing and validation.

  • Works with Data Teams on any additional files issues that are uncovered.

  • Works with stakeholders within the bank to ensure that data file issues are handled quickly and all needs are met.

  • Drives new enhancements and integrations that enable advancements of the MFT maturity model.

  • Automates mundane manual application configuration and updates to provide more time for innovative work.

  • The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge of the Payments Industry and/or card processing.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and employee groups.

  • Ability to assist in writing training documents, policies, procedures and correspondence.

  • Thoroughly understands the processes provided on the Sutton Data Lake.

  • A demonstrated understanding of the financial services industry.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Must have ability to analyze and solve complex problems, develop automated systems.

  • Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to articulate technical concepts both written and oral.

  • Ability to read, analyze and comprehend general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, audit reports, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies.

  • Ability to work with SQL to develop IDE's.

  • Ability to work with database technologies like mySQL, Oracle, SQL Server.

  • Ability to manipulate data for meaningful reporting.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively, both independently and in team settings, to include close collaboration with Processors.

  • Specific experience/expertise with Excel and/or database management.
