Job Title: Data Scientist

SUMMARY
As a Data Scientist with our team, you will be working with our federal clients to rapidly develop innovative solutions for our addressing immediate mission challenges. In this role, you will work on teams with other data scientists, software developers, and SMEs to apply the best practices and state of the art data science and machine learning processes. In this position, you will develop rapid prototype solutions to mission challenges by leveraging existing open-source models and technologies. Sample topic areas may include object detection, data triage, search/optimization, image/video analysis, facial recognition, behavior detection, and automated discovery.
Active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·       Identify, adapt, and integrate state-of-the-art research and open-source technologies into creative solutions.
·       Develop and train new machine learning models.
·       Identify, curate, and process large data sets.
·       Research, apply, analyze, and document technical approaches and their outcomes.
·       Leverage various computing resources such as GPU clusters and cloud-based compute servers.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
·       Bachelor's degree

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
·       Experience working in the Sponsor’s environment and familiarity with the different data science services and compute environments. 
·       Hands-on experience building AI/ML models. This includes building a training/testing dataset, training and testing the model, and evaluating performance. 
·       Expert-level proficiency in Python programming. 
·       Experience using a SQL database. 
·       Must be comfortable using the command line interface. 
·       Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
·       Must be able to comprehend requirements and effectively execute tasks accordingly.
·       Experience utilizing Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation purposes.
·       Must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts and deliver results to non-technical leadership.
Preferred Skills
·       Experience with Natural language processing. 
·       Proficient using cloud infrastructure. 
·       Experience working with cyber datasets or in a cyber data scientist role

·       Monday - Friday, in Chantilly, VA

·       Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.  Some occasional walking or standing may be required.   Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
