Data Scientist - Private Equity Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to enhance our investment decisions, optimize portfolio performance, and drive operational efficiency across the firm. You will work closely with investment professionals, portfolio company management teams, and other stakeholders to identify critical business questions, develop and implement data-driven solutions, and measure the impact of your work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute data-driven analyses to support investment research, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.
• Develop and apply predictive models for demand forecasting, pricing optimization, risk assessment, and other operational initiatives.
• Clean, prepare, and manage large and complex datasets from diverse sources.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, and propose innovative solutions to address business challenges.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with data in a financial services or similar industry.
• Strong understanding of private equity or alternative investment principles preferred.
• Proven experience in building and applying predictive models for demand forecasting, pricing, or risk assessment.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or SQL.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for learning and staying current with the latest trends in data science.
