The Opportunity:

The Cybersecurity Implementation Architect oversees the implementation, operation, support, and protection of the information systems and technologies across multiple companies under one entity. This role involves designing and implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, ensuring an optimum level of uptime for the entire systems infrastructure, and enabling the organization to understand and utilize business productivity tools effectively.

Additionally, this position plays a crucial role in accelerating the implementation of cybersecurity roadmap projects and understanding all networks and systems of the three companies within the group of companies. Ethical penetration testing experience is considered an asset for this role.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of cyber operations solutions tailored to meet the unique needs and challenges of the organization.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of the organization’s environments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies for mitigating cyber risks.
  • Architect and deploy comprehensive defense mechanisms, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate security controls seamlessly into existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on cybersecurity best practices, incident response, and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and help enforce the NIST Framework.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and industry trends to continuously enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Drive the acceleration of cybersecurity roadmap projects through effective planning, coordination, and execution.           
  • Understand all networks and systems of the three companies within the group of companies to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity coverage and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Perform work in server rooms and on systems, including patching production servers and conducting maintenance tasks in collaboration with the systems teams.
  • Assist the systems teams with Office 365 and Azure environments, advising on strategic planning, architecture design, security, and governance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) on project implementation, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity objectives and requirements.
  • Foster collaboration with the cybersecurity teams at each company within the group, ensuring cohesive efforts and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Learn, understand, and ensure business continuity and enhancement of systems and networks for all companies within the group.
  • Assist the systems teams to design, Implement, and test failover and disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability of critical systems and data.
  • Research and develop a system security context and define security assurance requirements based on industry standards and cyber security policies and practices.
  • Support incident management and post-analysis on Cyber Security Incidents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field; Cyber Security specialty a strong asset
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cyber operations and architecture.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex cyber defense solutions in diverse environments.
  • Proficiency with industry-leading cybersecurity tools and platforms, with a deep understanding of network security principles and protocols.
  • Thorough experience adopting the NIST Framework within an organization.
  • Experience with implementing Process and Policies aligned with Zero Trust Principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and mitigate security risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ethical penetration testing experience considered an asset.
  • Experience with server room operations and patching production servers.
  • Experience in architecting and managing Office 365 and Azure environments.
  • Experience in implementing failover and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience working with SOC, Incident Response teams or Forensic teams.
  • Experience in implementing PAM Solutions.
  • CISSP Certification is an Asset.
  • Proficiency in Industry adopted Frameworks & Methodologies (MITRE, ATT&CK, NIST, etc.)

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:

  • Being comfortable with a range of devices for testing and deployment of applications.
  • Knowledge of Telecom systems and configuration facilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in design, development, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems and technologies.
  • Participation in ongoing cybersecurity initiatives and technical support for the team.
  • Leadership in software enablement initiatives and assistance in technology changes.
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity issues, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Documentation maintenance and business relationship management with vendors.
  • High-level problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, desire for continuous learning, and experience with network diagnostic tools and Microsoft technologies.
  • Proficiency in Perimeter systems (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, UTM).
  • Identity and access management: creating policies and setup best practices to govern access to sensitive technology resources.
  • SIEM Tuning to improve the detection capabilities of our SOAR platform.
