What You’ll Do

Summary/Objective:
As the Cybersecurity Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a dynamic team of Cybersecurity Engineers to safeguard DCU’s digital assets. Your role will be to design and implement advanced security solutions to protect the credit union from cyber threats. You will coordinate security architecture development and coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Essential Functions:

- Lead a team of Cybersecurity Engineers to develop and maintain a secure, resilient enterprise class cybersecurity architecture and suite of tools
- Protect business applications in compliance with privacy, security, business resiliency, and compliance frameworks
- Actively monitor, assess and recommend strategic solutions to address emerging threats to the credit union.
- Participate in technical and non-technical projects requiring information security partnership to explain security concepts, make recommendations, and embed security into new business initiatives
- Rapidly adjust the credit unions security posture based on changes in the threat landscape and based on threat intelligence
- Define and manage key performance indicators and metrics which align to business initiatives to deliver to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in the Information Security governance process and contribute to the development of security policies, procedures and standards for the credit union
- Integrate security principles and practices into the software development lifecycle
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Management
- Automate repetitive security operations processes in partnership with the Security Operations team.

Supervises a team of Cybersecurity Engineers (I, II, Sr.)

What You’ll Need
|
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Networking, or another adjacent IT field
- 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
- Credit Union, Banking, or other Financial Services experience or experience working in an NCUA, FDIC, or FSB regulated organization
- Windows and Linux Support Skills
- Experience implementing Critical Security Controls, NIST 800-53 and NIST CSF
- Firewall and IPS management for Palo Alto, Cisco, or Fortinet
- On-prem and cloud networking including SASE tools such as Zscaler, Prisma Cloud, or Netskope
- Scripting languages such as Python and Powershell
- Vulnerability Management platforms like Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7
- Endpoint Security Solutions like SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or Crowdstrike
- Splunk and Splunk Enterprise Security or other SIEM tools
- Experience with managing key risk indicators, metrics, and statistical reporting of cybersecurity data
- Familiarity with Security Operations and Automation and Response (SOAR) tools
- Familiarity with Cloud Security tools such as Prisma Cloud, Wiz or Orca
- Familiarity with Application Security and CI/CD tooling including GitHub or GitLab.
- Familiarity with Network Access Control solutions and technologies such as Cisco ISE, Forescout, and 802.1X.
- Familiarity with Email Security tools such as M365 Defender, Proofpoint, Mimecast or Abnormal
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Active in the Information Security community, such as groups, conferences, and so on
- Solid understandings of network, cloud, application, and systems security.
- Ability to work within an Agile or Scrum methodology
- Professional and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team member
