Abtrace is transforming the way patients are treated at their General Practice (GP) by leveraging data stored within existing electronic health record systems to extract clinical insights.

Our data-driven software enables clinicians to better manage existing disease and to detect new conditions earlier. Patients get the right monitoring, reduce unnecessary visits, get diagnosed and treated faster improving outcomes and saving the healthcare system money.

The role

We are looking for a senior cybersecurity engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Windows and Linux system administration
  • endpoint management using tools such as Microsoft Intune
  • endpoint protection with tools like Crowdstrike and Qualys
  • Data Loss Prevention systems
  • application security; SAST and DAST tools
  • SIEM solutions (Splunk or similar)
  • logging and monitoring best practices
  • cloud infrastructure security and management (AWS or similar)
  • cloud security best practices
  • confidence in using scripting techniques to automate processes
  • infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation and similar)
  • CNAPP/CSPM solutions such as Wiz
  • threat intelligence
  • incident management and response
  • regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001 and how they translate to a successful security strategy



Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer who is adaptable, able to work independently and mission driven.

The candidate should have a good understanding of the architecture of cloud-native applications, from networking to API level, with a particular emphasis on security. They will be expected to implement the automation of security processes, for example by using CI/CD pipelines.

The candidate will be expected to monitor Abtrace's infrastructure using a variety of tools and rapidly respond to any security threats identified. They will also take part in regular security tests as well as preparation and implementation of mitigation measures.

We expect the candidate to help drive the company's cybersecurity strategy and interact with relevant stakeholders in the product, technical, regulatory/compliance and other teams to ensure a security mindset is embedded in the company's culture.
