Job Description

Chief Data Officer with a background in both Data Science and Data Engineering is required for a leading ESG SaaS company in AZ, although the position is fully remote within the US. Their ClimateTech product offers a high-impact solution to help business convert data into tangible carbon reduction outcomes, so the ideal candidate will be mission driven and motivated by making a difference in the world.

As the Chief Data Office your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the strategic direction and management of the data engineering and data science teams.


• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of all data.


• Spearhead the development and implementation of data strategies that align with our mission to reduce carbon footprints.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into all data processes.


• Drive innovation in data analytics and modeling to enhance our platform’s performance.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the data teams.

The right CDO will have the following essential skills:

• Proven experience as a CDO, VP/Director of Data Engineering/Science, or in a similar leadership role within data management.


• A strong background in data engineering and/or data science.


• Exceptional knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.


• Deep understanding of ESG principles and their application in data analysis.


• Excellent leadership and communication skills.


• Ability to work remotely and manage teams across different time zones (in the US).


• Passionate about technology and pushing new ideas forward;


• Strong communication skills and a key attention to detail.
