Position Details:
This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday during standard business hours. Compensation will be based on the qualifications of applicant.
Location:
This is a Hybrid REMOTE/ONSITE opportunity in the United Kingdom. Candidate must reside in the UK and be work authorized. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
Candidate must reside within commuting distance to Mayfair, London.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Transcard will play a critical role in advancing our technology stack by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to solve complex problems and drive innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI and ML models that enhance our payment solutions, fraud detection systems, and customer insights.
Transcard is a rapidly growing Fintech, and this team is building out new AI technologies and innovations to greatly expand the capabilities and value of our platform. As the AI Engineer, you will be an integral part of the development and deployment of our new AI-driven Virtual CFO capabilities embedded within our core payments platform. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape emerging technologies in the payments space.
· Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to tackle a variety of challenges including fraud detection, transaction analytics, and customer personalization.
· Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights, identify patterns, and inform decision-making processes.
· Fine-tune and optimize algorithms for performance and scalability within our payment processing systems.
· Work with software engineers to integrate AI/ML solutions into our existing infrastructure and ensure seamless deployment and functionality.
· Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and ML technologies and apply new techniques and methodologies to enhance our systems.
· Collaborate on cross-functional teams with data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and refine project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
· Develop tools and processes for monitoring model performance and ensuring ongoing accuracy and reliability.
· Continue to identify and evaluate emerging AI technologies and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.
· 3+ years of proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating your expertise.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
· Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
· Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical methods.
· Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with complex data analysis and modeling.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment contributing to a positive team culture.
· Preferred experience in the payments or fintech industry.
· Preferred Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to financial transactions.
· Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision techniques.
Education and/or Certifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
