Job Description

The Analyst - Information Security will assist the Information Security Lead with technical analysis and reporting across various information security domains, including host, client, mobile, and network systems. This role involves managing internal and external access control lists, intrusion detection and prevention, electronic data protection, and addressing evolving threats. The analyst will also provide information security consultation to project teams, with a focus on enterprise identity functions.

Essential Job Functions:

Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor enterprise information security systems and report all suspicious activities. This role requires the use of a personal computer.

Policy Development: Assist in developing and maintaining the information security response plan and enterprise information security policies and procedures.

Confidentiality and Integrity: Operate with impartiality, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all information security events.

Consultation: Support the Information Security Lead and other system administrators on information security issues; provide consulting services to system administrators.

Best Practices: Offer security best practices and guidance to project teams.

Risk Assessment: Collaborate with the Information Security team to perform risk assessments and serve as an internal analyst for security issues.

Penetration Testing: Conduct penetration testing and manage vulnerabilities; provide accurate and timely reporting, escalating issues to management as necessary.

Threat Awareness: Stay current with the latest information security threats and mitigation techniques using the Internet and other information collection methods.

Process Improvement: Analyze information security processes and tools, recommending innovative solutions to enhance processes and toolsets.

Training: Assist in training personnel on information security issues.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and provide insights and learnings to team members.
  • General understanding of various information security areas.
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of information security practices and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for internal and external relations.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute complex verbal or written instructions.
  • Understanding of information security issues related to computer hardware, software, and infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 3 years of progressive information security experience.
  • Information security certification preferred.
