JOB DESCRIPTION:


We are looking for a Robotics & Automation Technician who will repair, calibrate, and maintain our automated and robotic systems on the manufacturing shop floor. This position is part of the Robotics & Automation Engineering team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:



  • Performs a variety of diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly automation equipment.

  • Makes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic repairs to assembly automation equipment.

  • Performs equipment failure analysis, repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance on robotic and automated equipment.

  • Sets up manual and semi-automatic assembly lines and assists in operating pre-production runs.

  • Assists in installing new automated equipment and in moving equipment to new locations.

  • Creates new robot programs and edit existing robot programs.

  • Works with Maintenance and Process Technicians to maintain daily production operations and assembly through preventative and corrective maintenance.

  • Monitor system performance and availability of both personnel and automated robotic vehicles.

  • Support continuous operation by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing or modifying system components.

  • Troubleshoot automated robotic anomalies and stoppages using schematic and wiring diagrams as well as advanced test equipment.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.


EDUCATION:
Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent discipline preferred. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:



  • Three (3) years + work experience in electro-mechanical automated/robotic equipment in a manufacturing environment required with build, repair, test, install and maintenance experience highly preferred. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and schematics.

  • Able to effectively communicate cross-functionally.

  • Brings strong organizational skills to ensure overall systems is operating efficiently.

  • Ability to learn new equipment and assist team members as needed.

  • Ability to multi-task and perform multiple job functions at once.

  • Must be able to operate and run Automated systems.

  • Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work independently of supervisor following procedures and manuals

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.


Salary Range: $26/hour - $28/hour.
